Pingtung University of Science and Technology internship hotel opens with four-star specifications

(Taiwan Business News) The Ho Rui teaching internship hotel attached to the Department of Hospitality Management at Pingtung University of Science and Technology blends with the lush green scenery of the largest campus in the country. It opened yesterday and is a relaxing hotel.
After a year of preparation and reorganization, the original old dormitory was fully renovated, and the equipment and specifications are modeled on those of a four-star hotel. At this internship hotel on campus, everything from registration and check-in to management is handled entirely by third-year students from the Department of Hospitality Management, incorporating its operation into the students' internship curriculum.
President Ku Yuan-kuang said that the NPUST internship hotel is a key project of NPUST's implementation of the "Model University of Science and Technology Program" from ROC year 102 to 105, and that this internship hotel matches the scale of a business hotel, allowing students' learning at school to seamlessly connect with the industry.
The internship hotel has a total of 28 guest rooms, available for school faculty and students as well as people visiting the school for study or visits. A standard double room is NT$2,000, and a VIP room is NT$3,000. So far, everyone who has stayed there feels they have enjoyed star-rated hotel accommodation.
From the naming concept, the hotel's C.I.S., and the decoration of each guest room, everything was carefully planned by the students. The name "Ho Rui" was inspired by the abbreviation HR of the Department of Hospitality Management. Student Wang Ling-chi said that at the internship hotel she learned many details of hotel management and patience, and also learned employee control.
