Yushan Library Completed, Helping Fenyuan Elementary School in Changhua County Fulfill Its Dream

(Taiwan Business Daily News) Fenyuan Elementary School in Changhua County was selected as a sponsored school under the Golden Seed Program of the E.Sun Bank Volunteer Social Welfare and Charity Foundation. A completion and inauguration ceremony was held recently, with Changhua County Deputy Magistrate Lin Tian-fu, E.Sun Bank Chairman Du Wu-lin, and Fenyuan Elementary School Principal Yang Shih-kai jointly launching the completion ceremony and presenting letters of appreciation. Construction of the school's library began in April, and all engineering design, contracting, and construction were handled entirely by E.Sun Bank. Including the books in the library, the cost was approximately 3 million yuan, all donated by E.Sun Bank.

During the event, special arrangements were made for performances by the E.Sun Choir, the Fenyuan Elementary School recorder ensemble, and the ocarina team. The atmosphere was lively and warmly touching.

At the inauguration ceremony of Fenyuan Elementary School's "Yushan Library," this library is the 76th library established under the Golden Seed Program of the E.Sun Volunteer Foundation, and also the 5th Yushan Library in Changhua County.

Fenyuan Elementary School's library received assistance from E.Sun Bank this time, with a comprehensive renovation covering books, indoor air conditioning, a multifunctional audiovisual performance theater, and reading areas for lower, middle, and upper grades, among other equipment and spaces. It was designed using the five different colors of the golden seed. After completion, the library became a warm and comfortable excellent reading environment, which will make students love immersing themselves even more in the sea of books.

The E.Sun Bank Golden Seed Program takes as its core goal assisting schools disadvantaged in reading environment resources. The principles for selecting schools include: the principal must have the philosophy and execution ability to promote reading, teachers must have the enthusiasm to implement reading instruction, and parents and volunteers must have the awareness and action to participate in the school. When all three conditions are fully met, the probability of being selected is very high.

Principal Yang Shih-kai stated that the school has cultivated reading for many years and has been deeply loved by students and parents in promoting reading education. It is just a pity that there was still room for improvement in hardware equipment. Now E.Sun Bank has fulfilled the dream of teachers and students, creating a colorful reading world for the school, and all teachers and students are very happy.
