New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' College Opens for the New Semester, Umin Boya Lends His Voice to Send Blessings

(Taiwan Business News) New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' Tribal College held its opening ceremony yesterday. In addition to continuing its cultural heritage courses, this year it launched courses related to the film and television industry, including micro-films, documentaries, still photography, broadcasting talent, and performing arts. Global population aging has become a social phenomenon, and in order to provide a platform for Indigenous elders in New Taipei City to understand the pulse of society and pass on their wisdom, the college has also introduced senior learning courses.

The opening ceremony was rich and exciting, kicking off with the promotional short film "Shadows of the Indigenous Follow, Dreams Launch." At the end of the film, many well-known Indigenous artists, including Umin Boya, Chang Chen-yue, Jia Jia, Power Station, and MATZKA, appeared together in a recorded blessing video, adding even more irresistible appeal to this year's newly launched Indigenous film and television industry-related courses at the Indigenous Peoples' Tribal College!

Chu Li-luan, president of New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' Tribal College, said that offering ethnic culture and industry courses at the tribal college enriches and enhances cultural literacy, injects new ideas into the Indigenous community while combining them with tradition, creates a unique multicultural identity belonging to New Taipei City, and also opens up new employment opportunities and skills for Indigenous friends through the tribal college, allowing them to learn skills and improve their economic conditions.

Vice President Lin Chien-chi of New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' Tribal College said: "In addition to the innovation of audiovisual and industry courses, New Taipei City Indigenous Peoples' Tribal College is equally tireless in its efforts to promote localized senior learning courses. We hope that through the establishment of the tribal college, we can open a channel for young friends to pursue their dreams, and it is also an important benchmark learning platform for senior learning and cultural transmission, allowing Indigenous education and cultural heritage to develop sustainably in New Taipei City, so that together we can 'live and learn!'"
