Chunghwa Telecom and Huashan Culture Park Join Hands to Create

Wi-Fi wireless internet application services throughout the park

(Taiwan Business News) The Huashan 1914 Creative Park is a cradle for promoting the cultural and creative industries of greater Taipei. Chunghwa Telecom combines the convenience and immediacy of wireless broadband networks with the creativity of the cultural and creative industries, providing culture-minded students with even more elements of cultural creativity. Through Wi-Fi wireless network coverage throughout the park, it serves more domestic and foreign visitors who come to Huashan, jointly creating a brand-new Huashan Creative Park of "wireless connection, infinite amazement." Today, Tu Yuanguang, General Manager of Chunghwa Telecom's Northern District Branch, and Wang Rongwen, Chairman of Taiwan Cultural and Creative Development Co., Ltd., jointly announced the official launch of Huashan's Wi-Fi wireless internet application services.

Chunghwa Telecom has as many as 42,207 hotspots across the province, including cultural and creative parks, department stores and convenience stores, fast-food restaurants, hotels and homestays, airports and stations, and other important gathering points for crowds, providing services such as digital convergence audio and video, music, multi-screen and cloud services. In the future, it will further provide Wi-Fi value-added services for ordinary shops, making it convenient for shops to offer different service models such as free internet access, location-based service (LBS) discount information, popular products, e-books, music, product information push notifications and cross-industry cooperation. While experiencing the convenience of wireless Wi-Fi, the immediacy of discounts, the diversity of products and the interactivity of music, it also lets you and me feel the zero-distance contact between technology and cultural creativity.

On 6/21, the Huashan Theater held the "I love Huashan1914 Picnic Day" event, combining Huashan's historical heritage resources with Chunghwa Telecom's Wi-Fi value-added service audio guide. Through the convenience of mobile terminal devices, visitors can better understand Huashan's history. A dedicated mobile portal was also designed for Huashan (including functions such as finding events, browsing shops, viewing highlights, touring Huashan and getting on Wi-Fi), providing the latest exhibition and performance activities in the park, discount information for popular restaurants/shops, real-time park information, LBS map guides, audio guides and free internet access services. Huashan Creative Park and visitors now have more interactive, fun and real-time multi-party exchanges, accelerating the diverse applications of Taiwan's cultural and creative industries and making Huashan a leader in combining cultural creativity with technology.
