4 heat-tolerant flowers that bloom more the stronger the sun, and can bloom 300 days a year

This season is basically the hottest time of the year, the sun is scorching no matter the hour, and the flowers kept on balcony gardens all look listless. Does that mean in summer you can only enjoy various faded blooms? Wrong, there are some flowers that actually like to bloom in midsummer, blooming more vigorously the stronger the sun, and their flowering period is also fairly long.
Plumbago auriculata (blue plumbago)
A touch of coolness in summer, plant one pot on the balcony and it is simply refreshing and cooling, and it easily grows into the look of a wall of flowers.
Blue plumbago care tips:
1. Blue plumbago likes fertilizer and has a long flowering period. When planting, add enough base fertilizer, and later apply light fertilizer frequently on a regular basis.
2. Keep the potting soil moist, but do not let it become waterlogged.
3. Place it in a spot at home with plenty of light for care.
Bougainvillea
I have always rather liked bougainvillea. It has a long flowering period and is easy to keep alive, belonging to the varieties that can bloom for more than half a year even if left alone without much care. If you want it to bloom a lot and have a long flowering period, just ensure plenty of light and good ventilation.
Bougainvillea care tips:
1. Choose loose, breathable, well-draining soil for planting. During care, do not let the potting soil become waterlogged.
2. Control water for half a month before flowering, which can make bougainvillea produce more flower buds.
3. Bougainvillea likes light. When light is insufficient, it easily causes few or no flowers, so if you want to grow it well, the light must be sufficient.
Torenia fournieri (wishbone flower)
A fairly beautiful herbaceous flower, it can be seen in many green belts, a truly sun-tolerant variety.
Wishbone flower care tips:
It likes light. Keep the potting soil moist and spray the leaves often to increase air humidity.
Catharanthus roseus (Madagascar periwinkle)
Madagascar periwinkle comes in quite a few colors. As long as light and water are sufficient, it easily blooms so much it fills the pot, and its flowering period starts in spring and can continue all the way to late autumn.
Madagascar periwinkle care tips:
1. Ensure sufficient light, otherwise it easily grows leggy and blooms little.
2. Keep the potting soil moist without waterlogging, and prune faded flowers promptly after blooming.
3. Do not use alkaline soil when planting.
Fellow gardeners, what other long-flowering and sun-tolerant varieties have you grown? You are welcome to leave comments and share together.
