What types of termite-killing drugs are there?

Termites live a social life similar to ants, are distributed in tropical and subtropical regions, and feed on wood or cellulose. They are highly destructive insects. If termites are found at home, be sure to hire professionals to eliminate them. Let us take a look below at what termite-killing drugs there are!
What termite-killing drugs are there
Termite-killing drugs mainly include mirex, termite powder and so on. Termites that come into contact with mirex and termite powder will not die immediately. After they return to the nest and die, other termites swallow the corpses of their companions, and then all are poisoned to death.
How to find where termites are
Generally, termites hide in damp wooden products to build nests, such as door frames, floors, and the dark surfaces of furniture. You can tap wooden products and listen to the sound. Wooden products with termite nests will make a hollow sound when tapped, or a rustling sound of termites crawling in alarm.
How to apply termite-killing treatment
After discovering termites, use tools such as a screwdriver to open a few small holes, insert the nozzle into the small holes, squeeze the bottle body, and spray termite powder inside. Spray one spot every 50-100 cm of termite trail, but do not block or damage the termite trail. If a termite nest is found, insert 3-5 holes at the nest location. For the amount of powder sprayed at each hole opening, squeezing the bottle body by hand 5-7 times is appropriate. If large numbers of termites are found concentrated on and eating door frames, wooden boxes, bookshelves, and wooden furniture, powder can be sprayed at multiple places where termites are active, so that termites carry as much powder as possible back to the nest. Only in this way can a better chain effect be achieved.
Precautions for killing termites
1. When termites are found, do not disturb them; spray termite powder.
2. After spraying, wash hands, face, and other exposed skin, as well as work clothes.
3. Pregnant women and breastfeeding women must not spray the powder themselves.
