IFA in Berlin, Germany: Taiwan's Double A Takes the Stage

(Taiwan Business News Network) IFA in Berlin, Germany opened on the 5th. Including South Korea's Samsung and Taiwan's Double A -- Acer and Asus -- they rushed to introduce new products two days before the show opened. Nearly a thousand media representatives and professionals from around the world attended the grand event.

Held in early September each year, IFA in Berlin, Germany is a battleground for advanced high-end phones and mobile devices. Samsung arranged to hold its Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 new product unveiling today to launch

the long-rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 4. This new product launch event attracted nearly a thousand media and industry figures.

The Note 4's demonstrated S Pen features -- Air Command's floating shortcut ring, Action Memo's quick memo, Screen Write's quick screenshot, Image Clip's all-purpose clipping, Smart Select's all-purpose pasting and Snap Note's snapshot note-taking -- amazed the entire audience.

At a press conference held at Berlin's Classic Remise exhibition venue, Asus unveiled for the first time the industry-anticipated ZenWatch smartwatch and the 7 Entertainment Pad tablet; their innovative design and competitive pricing drew considerable attention. After the press conference, attendees could closely examine the products displayed on site, with dedicated staff providing detailed introductions.

At today's launch event, Acer CEO Chen Junsheng introduced the Jade / Z500 smartphones, Aspire R13 / R14 convertible notebooks, Aspire Switch 11 / 12 two-in-one convertible tablets and the Iconia series One 8 / Tab 8W / Tab 10 tablet computers.

Including HTC, SONY and LG, they too all held new product launch events before the show opened.

IFA is the world's largest consumer electronics and home appliance exhibition. This year 1538 exhibitors are participating. This exhibition is also one of the world's largest marketplaces for electronic products. The organizers pointed out that last year the total value of orders placed by the industry exceeded 4 billion euros.

During the exhibition period from the 5th to the 10th, the organizers also invited several technology company executives and industry experts to give keynote speeches.
