Five major commitments demonstrate the determination for a "Green Energy Capital, Major Wind and Solar County"

The Changhua County Government and the Changhua District Prosecutors Office jointly held the "Green Energy Capital, Major Wind and Solar County" corporate integrity declaration signing ceremony and forum on the morning of the 2nd in the county government atrium. Changhua County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku attended and, together with Director-General Chu Chia-chi of the Agency Against Corruption of the Ministry of Justice, Chief Prosecutor Huang Yu-yuan of the Changhua District Prosecutors Office, and Chairman Hsu Jen-hui of Transparency International Chinese Taipei, witnessed 10 renewable energy companies including Orsted Energy Co., Ltd. sign five major commitments: "Green Energy Capital, Major Wind and Solar County - Coexistence and Shared Prosperity for the Benefit of Changhua", "Green Energy Generation Lights Up Taiwan - Fiscal Revenue Builds Changhua", "Wind and Solar Energy Industry Transformation - Recruit Talent in Changhua and Cultivate Pioneers", "Integrity Values for Sustainable Operations - Transparent Administration and a Clean Government", and "Clean Power Generation with Green Energy First - Government Construction Based on Integrity and Competence", guaranteeing to all Changhua County residents that renewable energy power generation plants "take from Changhua and use for Changhua", implementing long-term local rooted development and the determination to coexist and prosper together with Changhua.

County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku stated that the Changhua County Government upholds the attitude of "information disclosure, open mindset, integrity and transparency, and policy participation". This time it jointly signed the corporate integrity ceremony with investing companies and invited the Changhua District Prosecutors Office, the Agency Against Corruption of the Ministry of Justice, and Transparency International Chinese Taipei to witness together. The county government not only discloses information in the investment promotion process, but also adheres to the three no's principle: "no taking on projects, no designating contractors, no accepting kickbacks", emphasizing a clean government and improving the quality of public construction.

County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku pointed out that he also expects the enterprises coming to invest to fulfill four commitments: first, company registration must be in Changhua County; second, taxes must be paid to the Changhua County Government; third, they must establish cooperative education partnerships with local universities and cultivate local talent; fourth, they must interact with the townships where they come ashore and give back to the local area. These are the common assets of Changhua County residents, jointly creating wealth for the residents. He also wished the construction process safety and smoothness, completion on schedule, achievement of the vision of a nuclear-free homeland, and the building of Changhua County into a "Green Energy Capital, Major Wind and Solar County".

In order to implement the Executive Yuan's integrity policy of "a clean government and transparent Taiwan", with "promoting administrative transparency" and "advocating corporate integrity and ethics" as the main axes of anti-corruption work, this event was held to raise energy power generation companies' awareness of anti-corruption and anti-graft, cultivate correct concepts of integrity and the rule of law and corporate social responsibility among energy power generation companies, and, by inviting Transparency International Chinese Taipei, the Agency Against Corruption of the Ministry of Justice, the Changhua District Prosecutors Office, and representatives from domestic industry, government, and academia to give special reports and hold discussions, address corporate integrity, social responsibility, and a clean government, advocate the importance of corporate integrity, encourage enterprises to value social responsibility and ethical values, and thereby encourage excellent manufacturers to invest. It is hoped that the county government team will remain clean and self-disciplined, not accept improper benefits, jointly create an honest and clean government, and enhance the overall competitiveness of Changhua County.
