Ministry of Culture subsidies for cultural and creative entrepreneurs attending international exhibitions abroad: applications accepted from April 1 to April 30
To encourage cultural and creative entrepreneurs to take part in international exhibitions and competitions and to raise their visibility, the Ministry of Culture has specially established the "Guidelines for Applications for Awards and Subsidies for Participation in International Cultural and Creative Exhibitions and Competitions." Among these, subsidies for overseas expenses for international exhibitions are handled in two application rounds each year according to the exhibition dates. The second round begins accepting applications from April 1 to April 30, 2015 (ROC year 104), mainly for exhibitions taking place in the second half of 2015 (ROC year 104) (July 1 to December 31).
The Ministry of Culture stated that the exhibitions for which participation subsidies may be applied are mainly trade shows held regularly with at least 10 participating countries. Exhibition categories include cultural and creative industries such as the craft industry, product design industry, design brand fashion industry, visual arts industry, music and performing arts industry, and publishing industry. Those who received Ministry of Culture subsidies in the first round have successively taken part in exhibitions in the first half of 2015 (ROC year 104), including the Frankfurt Consumer Goods Fair, the Milan International Furniture Fair, the Paris Fashion Week Tranoï trade show, and the Hong Kong International Licensing Show.
The maximum subsidy for this program is NT$500,000. Subsidized items include registration fees, international airfare, venue rental, and venue decoration fees. Cultural and creative businesses interested in expanding into overseas markets are welcome to submit proposals actively. For related information, please go directly to the Ministry of Culture official website or the Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Service Network, or call the implementing unit at 02-85126000 ext. 6586 or 6585.
