Why can't the general-purpose nutrient soil for growing flowers be used universally?

This is day 922 of Blue Demon's daily original articles
Yesterday Blue Demon introduced the method for mixing potting soil for container flowers. When mixing potting soil, we need to pay attention tofour general principles: loose, breathable, water-retentive, and fertilizer-retentive.
Careful flower friends will notice: the herbaceous flower potted plants we buy on the market all use very loose peat soil from the seller, while some woody flowers, such as gardenia, Radermachera sinica (China doll), etc., have original soil that is relatively sticky and heavy. We say that potting soil should be loose and breathable, but for the potted plants we buy, why is there such a big difference in soil mixing? Then let's take a look atthe difference between the root systems of herbaceous flowers and woody flowers:
The root systems of herbaceous flowers are generally dominated by fine, dense fibrous roots, with almost no thick main roots. Such fibrous roots are relatively less resistant to stress. If the potting soil is not breathable enough, it is easy to suffocate the roots and cause root rot.
The root systems of woody flowers are generally dominated by thick main roots, with fewer fibrous roots. Because the roots are relatively thick, their penetrating power is also better, and they can grow even in relatively sticky and heavy potting soil.
Careful flower friends will notice that in looser soil, plants have more developed fibrous roots, while plants growing in sticky and heavy soil often have relatively thick roots and few fibrous roots. For woody flowers, because the plant shape is relatively tall, potting soil that is too loose is also not conducive to the stability of the plant. Therefore, when mixing soil for woody flowers, a suitable amount of soil-containing substrate can be used.
Herbaceous flowers, however, need to be as loose and breathable as possible to prevent repeated watering from causing the potting soil to compact. This is the difference between herbaceous flowers and woody flowers in soil mixing. In fact, mixing potting soil is really not that complicated. Once you grasp the basic principles and combine them with the growth characteristics of different categories of flowers, you can mix potting soil suitable for them.
Once soil mixing and repotting are done, the next step is seedling recovery. How should seedling recovery be carried out? Many people place the flowers after repotting in a cool place for seedling recovery, and this is also a practice praised by most people. But the fact that many people do it does not mean it is right. We say,the truth is often in the hands of a few!
