​2015 Kaohsiung Automation Industry Show grandly exhibited from 4/17 to 4/21

The largest professional exhibition in southern Taiwan, the "2015 Kaohsiung Automation Industry Show," takes the stage from April 17 to April 21 at the "Kaohsiung Exhibition Center," with a scale of 450 exhibitors and 1,100 booths. Following last year (2014), when it attracted 50,000 visitors and business opportunities reached a fever pitch of 1 billion yuan, this year it once again achieved a "sold-out booths" success.

Hosted by the Economic Daily News and guided by the Kaohsiung City Government, the "2015 Kaohsiung Automation Industry Show" held its opening ceremony at 2 p.m. today (the 17th). The ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Republic of China Vice President Wu Den-yih, Ministry of Economic Affairs Deputy Minister Shen Jong-chin, Kaohsiung City Deputy Mayor Hsu Li-ming, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry Chairman Ko Pa-hsi, Metal Industries Research & Development Centre Chairman Huang Chi-chuan, Kaohsiung City Hardware Business Association Chairman Yen Sheng-nan, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences President Yang Jeng-hong, and Economic Daily News General Manager Chou Tsu-cheng.

In his speech, Deputy Mayor Hsu Li-ming said that the "2015 Kaohsiung Automation Industry Show" is once again fully occupied this year, firmly securing its position as the largest industrial exhibition in southern Taiwan and successfully creating an opportunity for Kaohsiung's transformation. Thanks to the joint efforts of the city government and the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, in the first year of the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center's opening, the venue usage rate surged from an originally expected 7% to 17%, twice as high as expected. In addition, in the Asia New Bay Area actively developed by the city government, the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and the Main Library have already been completed, and the waterfront light rail is about to be completed. The city is being transformed, industry is being transformed, and full efforts are being made to support emerging industries such as cultural and creative industries, convention and exhibition industries, and yachts, moving toward the development of low-pollution and low-energy-consumption industries to build an economic Kaohsiung.

In addition, Director-General Tseng Wen-sheng of the Kaohsiung City Economic Development Bureau said that the Greater Kaohsiung area has a solid industrial foundation, with clusters of steel, petrochemical, and metal manufacturing industries, a complete supply chain, and well-equipped science parks and industrial zones. It possesses long-accumulated technology and capabilities, can integrate neighboring industrial zones and support different industries; coupled with support from software and hardware resources in the convention and exhibition industry, it is the most suitable city for holding professional industrial exhibitions. He looks forward to the "Automation Industry Show" being exhibited regularly in the future and becoming one of Kaohsiung's major large-scale exhibition indicators, not only enhancing local industrial development but also driving Kaohsiung's convention and exhibition industry toward the international stage.
