To help young students about to enter the workplace find employment smoothly, the New Taipei City Labor Affairs Department held this year's final campus recruitment event at De Lin Institute of Technology on the 14th. De Lin Chairman Lin Hsieh Han-chien, President Lo Shih-peng, and New Taipei City Labor Affairs Department Deputy Director-General Hsu Hsiu-neng all attended in person to cheer on the students together.
Companies such as Miita International, Caesar Park Hotel, Fullon Hotel, Watsons, and Global Transmission Technology attracted many students about to leave campus to stop and inquire. According to statistics, the recruiting companies received a total of 219 resumes, with 48 preliminary hires, giving an estimated initial match rate of 22%.
In his speech, De Lin Chairman Lin Hsieh Han-chien said that fresh graduates entering the workplace should make good career plans, and should not decide on a job based only on salary level. They should strive for good job opportunities, and he called on students to seize the opportunity and actively attend interviews. In addition to cheering on the students, the chairman also specially visited every booth to thank the company representatives, and was extremely friendly. President Lo Shih-peng also believed that the school's curriculum places equal emphasis on academics and practice, and encouraged students to cultivate professional workplace skills. He also hoped that through the campus recruitment event, students' employment competitiveness could be improved, seamlessly connecting graduation with employment.
Deputy Director-General Hsu Hsiu-neng pointed out that to help young people in society find suitable jobs, New Taipei City launched the "First Job Search Youth Employment Counseling" program, which has already helped more than 1,200 young people over the past year or so. This year, it further proposed the "Atypical Labor Youth Transition to Regular Employment" counseling program, hoping to help young people engaged in temporary, part-time, and dispatched work move into regular employment. Counseling can be provided while working, and allowances will also be provided during the period. It is hoped that a series of programs can help young friends clarify their interests and direction, and give young friends the necessary support.
The New Taipei City Labor Affairs Department will subsequently hold a joint recruitment event on June 5 in the Grand Auditorium on the 6th floor of the New Taipei City Government.
