2015 Taipei International Travel Fair Taipei City Government Theme Pavilion
"The 2015 Taipei International Travel Fair" kicked off in lively fashion on May 22 and runs for four consecutive days at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. The Taipei Pavilion, themed as the "Taipei Recharge Station" experience pavilion, offers exclusive recharge itineraries, small alleyway excursions and a Taipei past-and-present comparison game, while also echoing the currently most popular food tourism trend, offering the most relaxing alleyway desserts, fine Taipei tea and champion coffee, letting the public enjoy a whole-"heart" experience from the inside out.
At the opening promotional event of the 2015 Taipei International Travel Fair on the 22nd, the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government, for the first time invited a team of food experts to give a live demonstration of Taipei creative desserts, and handed out Taipei goodie recharge gifts on site, including Taipei-themed tour hot spring vouchers, dining vouchers, Taipei limited-edition cultural and creative sets, Taipei creative desserts, limited-edition travel neck pillows, exquisite phone stands and limited-edition tote bags! The most extraordinary side of Taipei was given back as a bonus to the people of northern Taiwan.
The "Taipei Creative Dessert" of the 2015 Taipei International Travel Fair uses mung bean paste as the cake filling topped with chocolate sauce, with the two characters "Taipei" drawn on top as the finishing touch. Research and development chef Lai Kuang-cheng said that in early Taiwan, Taipei mung bean cake was the favorite pastry of literati when they recited poetry and composed verses, and Dadaocheng, where the literati gathered at the time, was also the tea distribution center of northern Taiwan. The literati loved to gather here to sip tea and recite poetry, and the tea snacks accompanying tea drinking were quite refined, with mung bean cake being an indispensable pastry. This sense of nostalgic reflection is enduring and continuous, and it is hoped that visitors traveling in Taipei in summer can, through mung bean cake, experience another flavor of Taipei. In addition, Taipei is also a paradise of all kinds of desserts, and Taipei has other even more creative desserts. Everyone is welcome to come to Taipei and discover more creative desserts with even more distinctive Taipei characteristics.
The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government, said that in the past everyone loved Taipei's sense of fashion and the speed of the city, but in fact, in Taipei's alleys there is a kind of "strolling rhythm" of one's own, from Qingtian Street, most loved by Japanese visitors, to the coffee and cultural-creative shops on Fujin Street, a must-visit for independent travelers, both are a new cultural happy mini-trip of walking into the alleys. This time, in line with summer travel, the Taipei Pavilion invites the public to take a mini-trip to give themselves a breather and recharge at mid-year, specially launching three recharge itineraries, along with a Taipei recommended itinerary webpage. Whether accommodation vouchers or food and hot spring vouchers, all are recommended to the public at discounted prices. The public can scan the QR Code on site at the travel fair, enter the event webpage to purchase, and collect tickets via ibon.
This time, the Taipei Pavilion of the 2015 Taipei International Travel Fair is themed as the Taipei Recharge Station, offering on site mung bean cake with distinctive Taipei characteristics paired with Wenshan Baozhong tea, popular SCONE scones paired with Taipei's daily champion coffee, and a famous summertime must-visit queue-worthy cooling aiyu jelly shop providing free tastings to the public on site.
In addition, the century-old cultural and creative pastry business Kuo Yuan Ye is invited to set up a booth on site, along with on-site sales of Taipei city souvenirs. Creative handmade washi tape experts are also invited to give on-site paper craft demonstrations, along with two experts who delve into the essence of temple culture and the fun of cultural-creative alleyway treasure hunting, introducing Taipei's many must-try features to fairgoers through fun packaging methods, and using technology to let the public see at a glance the past and present of cultural monuments within Taipei City. The public is welcome to use their holidays to join the fun at the Taipei Pavilion at World Trade Center Hall 1 and enjoy Taipei's wonderful summer travel delights.
