DAKUO Digital Content Creative Center Shapes Kaohsiung's New Digital Strength

In recent years, Kaohsiung has been actively promoting industrial transformation, fully supporting emerging industries such as digital content and cultural creativity. The Economic Development Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government has further established the DAKUO Digital Content Creative Center as an exchange platform for the digital cultural and creative industry. Over the past two years or more, 22 companies have successively moved in, creating more than 400 jobs.

On the 2nd, DAKUO highlight company Wang Ding Co., Ltd., together with Tung Fang Design Institute, jointly held a press conference for "Taiwan's New Strength Industry-Academia Cooperation" and signed a letter of intent for cooperation, using the mobile game "Goddess Legend Online Game" as the industry-academia cooperation project. This shows the phased results of Kaohsiung's development of the digital content industry and cooperation in cultivating higher education talent.

The mobile game "Goddess Legend Online Game" in this industry-academia cooperation is jointly marketed and developed by "Wang Ding Co., Ltd." and "Li Liang Co., Ltd." In order to strengthen the link between industry and higher education talent cultivation, active industry-academia cooperation is being carried out with Tung Fang Institute of Technology to promote the integration of learning and application. A campus closed beta with 500 people online simultaneously is expected to take place in mid-June. This is Taiwan's first large-scale campus closed beta, highlighting Kaohsiung's achievements in actively promoting industry-academia cooperation.

The two companies "Wang Ding Co., Ltd." and "Li Liang Co., Ltd." are highlight companies of the DAKUO Kaohsiung Digital Content Creative Center, mainly focused on mobile game development and operations. Within one year of moving in, they jointly developed eight mobile games. Among them, "Li Liang Co., Ltd.", which focuses on technical development, grew the fastest. In an office space of 10 ping, the number of employees rapidly grew from 5 to 26. It has now graduated from the Digital Content Creative Center and plans to make Kaohsiung its long-term corporate development base, actively expanding into international markets, and estimates that revenue next year (105) will exceed 100 million.

Director Zeng Wensheng of the Economic Development Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government stated that Kaohsiung's digital content industry cluster is gradually taking shape. In order to provide young people with a better exchange platform, the "DAKUO Digital Content Creative Center" was specially established to incubate small and medium-sized enterprises and provide a space for the exchange of innovation and entrepreneurship information. He looks forward to more stories like Li Liang's and more companies like Wang Ding graduating from the Digital Content Creative Center and steadily growing and developing in Kaohsiung.

Group Leader Wu Xinxian of Tung Fang Institute of Technology also stated that digital content is a rapidly changing industry. In order to solve the problem of the gap between learning and application, only by relying on industry to strengthen practical experience can young students be helped to connect with the market. Chairman He Junhui of Wang Ding Co., Ltd. specifically explained that the current mobile game market already has a business opportunity of 500 billion in the mainland, while Taiwan's scale is 20 billion, and Kaohsiung's efforts in the digital content industry have already created an investment environment conducive to company development. He also looks forward to more related industries cooperating together in the future to build Kaohsiung's digital industry kingdom.
