Lin Youchang Holds Discussion with the Ministry of Finance's Department of Promotion of Private Participation, Hopes to Bring in More Private Capital for Public Construction

Li Jiazhen, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Finance's Department of Promotion of Private Participation, led representatives from several well-known enterprises on the 27th, including Breeze Plaza Industrial, Eslite Spectrum, Taroko Development, Lih Pao Construction, Kuo Chan Industrial, Qingshun Construction, Zhufu Clothing, and Taipei Business Hotel, to Keelung City to hold a promotion of private participation symposium. In the afternoon, they also went to the East Coast Parking Lot, Zhongzheng Park Visitor Center, and Nuandong Scout Activity and Ecological Study Center, which the city government is actively promoting for private participation, to conduct on-site inspections. Keelung Mayor Lin Youchang hopes to bring in more private capital for public construction and promote the city's economic growth.

Keelung Mayor Lin Youchang stated that Keelung City is adjacent to the Greater Taipei area, has convenient transportation, abundant tourism resources, and the advantage of an international port. It has deep investment potential in commerce, tourism, logistics, and transportation. If private investment can be used to bring in private capital, technology, and efficiency, it will accelerate opportunities for urban redevelopment. He believes that today's on-site inspections by investors of the city government's important private participation cases will certainly help investors' investment assessments and also provide the city government with a reference for future investment promotion planning.

In his speech, Keelung Mayor Lin Youchang also pointed out that in addition to the "East Coast Parking Lot OT Case," "Zhongzheng Park Visitor Service Center OT Case," and "Nuandong Scout Activity and Ecological Study Center ROT Case" inspected this time, the soon-to-open Keelung New Station and the old railway station site, as well as the Sheliao Bridge after it opens to traffic in June, will also connect the old Fishermen's Association Building, Zhengbin Fishing Port, and the Heping Island corridor. All of these are highlights worth investors' investment.
