To help the public understand the goals of the 2015 "Miaoli Youth Return Migration Creative Workshop," the county government's International Culture and Tourism Bureau held a lecture and briefing session today at the Urban Planning Hall, and invited Qiu Xingwei, a young entrepreneur who returned to his hometown in Nanzhuang Township and runs Laoliao Hostel, and Zhong Junyan, general manager of Taichung Fantacy Micro-Creative Culture Co., Ltd., which has built a micro-innovation settlement culture, to give wonderful sharing sessions on young people returning home to start businesses and youth cultural creativity, respectively.
Deputy County Magistrate Deng Guiju said that Miaoli's famous rush grass and woodcarving industries are currently facing a gradual decline in talent, and it is hoped that through cooperation with the Incubation Center of National United University, a platform for communication, exchange and learning can be established to substantively help young people who are willing and passionate about returning home to start businesses. The deputy magistrate also encouraged young people to devote themselves to local industries, so that traditional industries can be infused with diverse creativity and thinking, continue tradition, keep innovating, and drive the vigorous development of related industries in Miaoli.
