Today let's talk about what exactly is the purpose of growing orchids? There must be moderation in buying orchids. Many people think that the earlier you start growing orchids, the better. Of course, that is not wrong. But times are changing, people are progressing, and every industry has those who rise to the top and those who are eliminated; it is not decided by how early or late one entered the industry. Those who started early are not necessarily the best, and those who started late are not necessarily the worst. You need to achieve the following points: first, keep pace with the times; second, have a good plan; third, define your direction based on your own advantages. You can learn from and draw on other people's experience, but do not blindly follow other people's path; it is very hard to succeed by merely copying.

Orchid varieties are extremely rich, such as sword orchid, ink orchid, clivia, four-season orchid, cold orchid, spring orchid, cymbidium, and so on, and each type has a great many, so it is impossible to buy them all. So how should we selectively grow orchids according to our own circumstances? Do not think that the more orchids the better; the only premise is to follow the conditions of your own environment. For example, an office worker earns about five thousand a month and still has to support a family. Then in the first year I would first try growing one or two pots; if I get through the summer smoothly that year and solve the environmental conditions such as ventilation and moisture retention, with no plants dying or few plants dying, then in the second year I can introduce fewer plants, and then divide the plants from the first year, turning one pot into two pots. The plants should produce many shoots; it is not necessary to buy more and more. When buying plants, buy finer ones, more precious ones, ones with collection value. There must be moderation in buying orchids, and even more so, it must not affect family life.

Growing orchids must be planned, just like a person: a person who has no plan for their own life is a failure. Growing orchids is a step-by-step process, and I hope everyone can get the greatest harvest at the lowest cost. And for people with no experience in growing orchids, they must not be greedy for quantity; start by growing a small number, and accumulating experience first is very important.
