Hualien Deputy County Magistrate Tsai Yun-huang stated that the county government began planning the Zhikaxuan summer water play event four years ago. The park features numerous water facilities, including a wave pool, a lazy river, a toddler pool, a children's pool, 360-degree and 720-degree rotating large water slides, as well as water guns, water umbrellas, water play equipment and various other interactive recreational devices. It also has carefully designed landscaping and a glass greenhouse botanical hall, creating a wonderful green space that meets the needs of different age groups and helps bring parent-child relationships closer. Visitors of all ages are welcome to come and experience it.

Agriculture Director-General Lo Wen-lung reminded the public that Zhikaxuan Green Forest Water Park is open year-round with free admission. The water play facilities are open from July 1 to August 26 (daily from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with a 1.5-hour midday break for pool cleaning and maintenance). The pools are closed every Monday for environmental upkeep. During the open period, if a typhoon warning is issued, the facility will not open. In addition, to maintain pool hygiene and safety, please be sure to wear swimwear and a swim cap before entering the pool, and parents should monitor their children at all times. Children under 6 years old must be accompanied throughout when entering the pool to avoid any danger.
