The National Museum of Taiwan Literature's "Taiwan Literature Translation and Publication Subsidy Program" will be moved back to the Ministry of Culture starting this year (2015), and renamed the "Ministry of Culture Translation and Publication Subsidy Program."

The "Taiwan Literature Translation and Publication Subsidy Program," administered by the National Museum of Taiwan Literature since 2010, originated from the "Chinese Books Foreign Translation" program of the Council for Cultural Affairs (now the Ministry of Culture). This translation and publication subsidy was established to promote Taiwanese publications including literature, illustrated books, picture books, and comics, to foster international exchange, and to strengthen Taiwan's international image and visibility.

Starting in 2015, it will be elevated to the ministry level. Those at home and abroad interested in the translation and publication of Taiwan literature are invited to check the guidelines on the Ministry of Culture website from August 1 onward, and to continue working together to bring Taiwan literature to the international stage. For details, please contact Ms. Su, Books Section, Department of Humanities and Publications, Ministry of Culture, at books @moc.gov.tw.
