The "Cloud Industry Service Team" of the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, accelerates cloud adoption and creates new business opportunities for industries
To promote the use of cloud computing across all industries and accelerate the cloud-driven upgrade and transformation of industries, the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs established the "Cloud Industry Service Team" on January 20, 2015 (ROC year 104), commissioning the Institute for Information Industry to serve as a single window, using demand to guide supply participation, helping industries build cloud service networks, deepen innovative industrial applications, create value ecosystems and complete cloud value-added exports. To date, it has coached more than 50 cloud service providers, introduced more than 500 business matching and cooperation opportunities, and as of the first half of this year, has facilitated more than 200 million yuan in cloud service business opportunities.
In the service sector, the "Cloud Industry Service Team" facilitated the integration of service networks, driving the service industry to use cloud technology to innovate service processes. For example, Digital Home Staging uses cloud technology to imagine your future home, and has partnered with Sinyi Realty to create an innovative home-viewing experience; recently it has further cooperated with 14 companies from 10 countries, expanding its service system through furniture, real estate and joint development businesses. The cloud can also be fashionable: the service team facilitated cooperation between Mobile Happy Technology and the Taipei Women's Beauty Business Association, enabling beauty and hairdressing businesses to manage smartly and share their work via the cloud. For all 1,700 member businesses across Taiwan, it introduced a cloud interactive platform (Ohana, My Base), helping solve task management and performance tracking. By sharing creative results through the cloud, it has set off a wave of cloud technology fashion in the beauty industry.
In the manufacturing sector, it facilitated industrial development topics and deepened innovative applications, starting with characteristic industries that have manufacturing advantages. Through process integration and information sharing, it uses cloud services to find new outlets for industries and create opportunities for transformation and upgrading. For example, to help the more than 1,200 small and medium-sized steel fastener manufacturers across Taiwan cope with trade shocks, Chung Kuan promoted the Steel Fastener Cloud, starting with fastener supply chain management services. It has now used a cloud platform to integrate the energy of 150 fastener manufacturers. Through the Fastener Cloud's marketing and matchmaking platform, international manufacturers from Europe and Southeast Asia can see Taiwan's fastener manufacturing strength. In the future, it will continue to expand to applications in hand tools, molds, steel surface treatment and other industries.
For life application topics that people care about, the "Cloud Industry Service Team" of the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, works with industry associations and chambers to help industries use cloud technology to create innovative value ecosystems. For example, in food information applications, the service team facilitated manufacturers in using cloud technology to implement self-management. Together with Product-Link International, it cooperated with major food companies, including Hey-Song, Kai Yuan Food, Lian Hwa and Taiwan Great Food, to introduce food traceability solutions, helping promote food safety self-management and supply chain traceability systems, and implementing virtual-physical integration services from farm to table.
The "Cloud Industry Service Team" of the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, further facilitated our country's competitive cloud software-plus-hardware solutions, helping them connect with international demand markets, using the cloud to enhance industries' international competitiveness, enabling enterprises to go beyond Taiwan and letting the world see Taiwan. For example, it used standards to promote interconnected cloud security monitoring services, integrating upstream and downstream players including Green Energy and Sinping, and promoted advanced cloud security control solutions. It has successfully linked cooperative relationships with ASEAN countries and facilitated participation in international tenders.
The "Cloud Industry Service Team" will continue to integrate cloud service energy, use mechanisms to guide industries in developing distinctive applications, and deepen service design through themes, creating new business opportunities for manufacturers, injecting new momentum into industries, providing a foundation for industrial transformation and development, and accelerating new opportunities for industrial innovation and upgrading.
