Miaoli Cultural and Creative Image Product Exhibition Kicks Off at Miaoli Zhunan Railway Station

The Miaoli County International Culture and Tourism Bureau has planned the "Miaoli Cultural and Creative Image Product Exhibition," running from now until November 30 for three consecutive months, jointly exhibited at both Miaoli Railway Station and Zhunan Railway Station. In addition to the static product display, themed cultural and creative markets and online message activities are also planned to interact with the public, using cultural and creative themes to promote Miaoli tourism, allowing visiting travelers and local residents to experience Miaoli's warm human touch and charm.

Recognizing the forward-looking potential of cultural and creative product development, the Miaoli County Government has invested tremendous effort in recent years to develop and support local cultural and creative brands, actively promoting the county's woodcarving crafts, ceramic and glass art, indigenous dyeing and weaving, rush grass weaving, and indigo dyeing artworks as five major cultural and creative highlights. To let travelers arriving in Miaoli immediately feel the county's diverse culture, the curatorial themes at Zhunan and Miaoli Railway Stations feature a traditional three-sided courtyard house and a stilt house to showcase Minnan and indigenous styles respectively, as well as a forest treasure chest to demonstrate the Hakka people's wisdom of coexisting with nature, allowing visitors to closely appreciate the unique craftsmanship of cultural and creative artisans.

To help the public better understand the purpose of the event's promotion, an opening press conference was held on the morning of the 9th. At the event, the Miaoli County Outstanding Performing Arts Group - Shanshan Dance Studio was invited to perform a choreographed dance incorporating Miaoli County's cultural and creative featured products. On-site, display cabinets made with the Miaoli County cultural and creative theme word "Miaoli" showcased various Miaoli County cultural and creative certified products, strongly endowing the products with a local brand image. Miaoli County Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang stated that Miaoli's cultural and creative businesses attempt to use various local ingredients, traditional culture, and ecological landscapes, transforming them through ingenuity and creativity into all kinds of surprising products, spanning industries from food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment. Seeing local residents continuously striving for the progress of their hometown and building a new look for Miaoli, the county has specially planned a Miaoli County entrance image exhibition to let visitors feel Miaoli's infinite charm.

This Miaoli Cultural and Creative Image Product Exhibition has further planned a series of activities to interact with the public, calling on local cultural and creative businesses to gather together and organize themed cultural and creative markets. "Mid-Autumn Cultural and Creative Gifts" market events will be held on September 12 and 13 at Miaoli Railway Station, and on September 19 and 20 at Zhunan Railway Station. Additionally, "Miaoli Cultural and Creative Tourism" themed markets will be held on October 9 and 10 at Zhunan Railway Station, and on October 31 and November 1 at Miaoli Railway Station, featuring activities such as specialty food tastings, handmade DIY experiences, and live demonstrations by craftsmen.
