Succulents grown into old monsters, they don't even fit in a washbasin, and they scared a kid to tears
Burro's Tail
Who says succulents are all tiny cuties? These Burro's Tails look bigger than wigs, and just these dozen or so pots take up quite a bit of space!
Let's take a closer look. Are these all grown in big vats? Look at those gradient-colored little braids, truly mouth-watering!
The hanging pots also have "flowing long hair," and a whole row of them is quite a spectacular sight~
After seeing those Burro's Tails above, Huahua was reminded of this style, it really looks like the "little dreadlocks" of foreign friends
Graptopetalum paraguayense
Graptopetalum paraguayense is truly a must-have for beginners. The first batch of succulents Huahua grew when getting into the hobby included it, but mine never grew into a cluster like this, quite embarrassing
Graptopetalum paraguayense easily grows into an old stump, but without enough sunlight it tends to grow leggy and the color won't look good either, so it's better suited for outdoor growing.
If you don't have a yard, you can just grow it on the windowsill, and it can even trail down like a curtain!
Echeveria 'Tuxedo'
Everyone says Echeveria 'Tuxedo' is the king of black rot in summer, but actually the more neglectfully you grow it, the tougher it gets. Put it in a corner of the yard, grow it in a broken bamboo basket, and it handles summer without any pressure for years!
Echeveria 'Tuxedo' placed together with spiderwort actually crowded the spiderwort out... Who said Echeveria 'Tuxedo' is hard to grow? Seeing this gardener's plants makes Huahua doubtful
Now look at this next contestant. It doesn't win by size, but when it blooms it holds nothing back. The owner says it was always left in a corner unattended, and it seems it just gave up on itself, blooming like crazy in a suicidal frenzy
Graptosedum 'Francesco Baldi'
Graptosedum 'Francesco Baldi' is arguably one of the fastest succulents to fill a pot. Those with trypophobia should be cautious about growing it, it gets densely packed in no time...
Pachyveria 'Clavifolia'
The Pachyveria 'Clavifolia' thrown in a corner looks better than those grown at home, but Huahua thinks it can't be moved back inside anymore, after all, with this shape, it's just too much to handle
Truly growing roots wherever it lands, it can sprout even on a stone slab! Many gardeners complain that their leaf-propagated succulents show no signs of life, but that's just fate
Comparing them, the Pachyveria 'Clavifolia' that someone takes care of is indeed much more refined
Sedum rubrotinctum
The dainty Sedum rubrotinctum has also been grown by gardeners into an old goblin covered in "beards." Those beards are actually aerial roots, possibly forced out because the potting soil isn't breathable, but the succulent's condition still looks pretty good, old but still going strong!
Without comparison there's no hurt. When it was bought and brought home it was only the size of those small pots next to it. Look at it now...
Some gardeners' plants look pale and sickly, but once they get some sun they turn red. Those with trypophobia should probably not grow them~
Another gardener excitedly asked if he had grown an old-stump Sedum rubrotinctum? Looking at the picture, if he hadn't said it was Sedum rubrotinctum, Huahua really wouldn't dare confirm it, it's grown so leggy it's unrecognizable!
