A plant covered in spines grafted with Christmas cactus: strong vitality, no root rot, and flowers on every stem

Christmas cactus has delicate, lovely, unique and elegant flowers, but it is prone to root rot, so many people like to graft it. Through the innate conditions of the rootstock, the Christmas cactus can grow more vigorously.
So besides using cactus and Epiphyllum to graft Christmas cactus, you can also use this spiny thing to graft it. Its vitality is excellent, it is round and especially cute, it will never get root rot again, and every stem will have flowers.
This spiny thing is the golden barrel cactus. The golden barrel cactus has a strong ability to adapt to the environment, vigorous vitality, and roots that are not prone to rot, so using it to graft Christmas cactus gives a very high survival rate, and the growth will be more vigorous.
The method is also quite simple. Take a robust golden barrel cactus, cut several incisions 1 to 2 cm long on it, about 1 cm deep. You can graft one piece into each slit, so when it blooms, it is very spectacular and beautiful; you can also graft on top! As shown in the picture.
Cut off the skin on both sides of the cut surface of the Christmas cactus, insert it into the cut slits of the golden barrel cactus, and place it in a cool place with diffused light to let it recover. In about ten days they will grow together, with a survival rate of over 90%.
After it resumes growth, move the golden barrel cactus to a position with plenty of sunlight, which can speed up leaf growth. After that, care can follow the growth habits of the golden barrel cactus to maintain the Christmas cactus, so root rot is less likely to occur.
In future growth, apart from not fertilizing in July and August, remember to apply organic fertilizer 2 to 3 times in September and October, which can make it grow more vigorously, make the flowers more vivid, increase the number of flowers, and give every branch flowers.
