Plants with especially beautiful blooms like jasmine, and with a particularly rich floral fragrance, are mainly loved by many flower enthusiasts because after blooming they can also be used to make tea.

When we go to buy jasmine, we usually choose ones with many flower buds, mainly because after returning home, within a few days we can enjoy the blooms for a while, but we find that newly bought jasmine drops buds badly, and every time we see dropped buds all around, we feel very helpless.

In fact, there are many reasons for this. Today Hua'er will introduce to everyone the care of newly bought jasmine, so that it no longer drops buds, blooms vigorously, and keeps producing new flower buds.

1. When buying, we should pick a good plant. Do not choose whichever pot has the most buds, but look at the overall health of the plant. Choose one with relatively large, robust buds, with a reasonable number distributed on the branches, and with relatively large, emerald green leaves. This kind of jasmine is easier to care for after buying it back.

2. Newly bought jasmine needs a few days to adapt to the new environment, so some bud drop is fairly normal, and it may also be accompanied by leaf loss. You can prune these off in time to avoid excessive consumption of nutrients, which can help it adapt to the new environment faster and bloom sooner.

Also, although jasmine likes light, newly bought jasmine should not be exposed to harsh sun. Place it in a bright spot with good ventilation, where it can receive some moderate light, which is best. Once it has roughly recovered, resume normal care. Also, the flower buds are especially fragile, so do not move it around casually. Even if it must be moved, handle it gently.

3. Fertilizer and water must be controlled well. At the beginning, generally keeping it appropriately dry is more helpful for adapting to the new environment and resuming growth, so watering should depend on how dry or wet the potting soil is. Never water too much or too frequently.

Jasmine blooming requires a large amount of nutrients to support it. If nutrients are insufficient, the whole plant will continuously drop buds and leaves. But do not apply concentrated fertilizer. It is best to apply some special nutrient solution, and before applying, add water to dilute it to avoid damaging the root system and affecting blooming.
