Taichung City Labor Affairs Bureau releases 1057 job openings to help career changers and middle-aged and older job seekers

In response to the post-Lunar New Year job-changing wave and to encourage middle-aged and older people to return to the workplace, the Taichung City Government Labor Affairs Bureau held the "Happy Middle-Aged and Older Employment Restart" joint recruitment event on the 25th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fengyuan Yangming Municipal Building, inviting 20 companies to set up booths and offer 1057 job opportunities. Members of the public who are looking for work or interested in changing careers are welcome to attend.

Labor Affairs Bureau Director-General Huang Ho-ting said that, based on past observations of the job market, there is always a wave of talent movement and career changes after the Lunar New Year. To respond to companies' immediate hiring needs and encourage middle-aged and older people to enter the workplace to fill talent gaps, the Labor Affairs Bureau will hold joint recruitment events, release diverse job opportunities for job seekers who need to change careers, and help middle-aged and older people who are willing to work return to the workplace.

Chang Hui-fang, Director of the Employment Services Division, pointed out that in addition to providing job matching for the general public, this event also helps middle-aged and older people who are willing to work return to the workplace. In addition, for middle-aged and older job seekers with insufficient employment skills, the Labor Affairs Bureau is cooperating with companies to help middle-aged and older people enter the workplace for work internships through a combined training-and-employment approach, with dedicated personnel providing guidance. It is hoped that these middle-aged and older people can, through work internships, become regular employees of the companies and achieve stable employment.

This event featured 20 companies, including Fullon Hotel, Poya Lifestyle Store, Jinfang Cuisine, Lihpao Land, Yougang Machinery, AUO, Tianwei Security, and Renyou Bus, offering 1057 diverse job openings such as housekeeping staff, store staff, cleaning staff, service staff, management trainees, operators, packaging material preparation staff, security guards, and bus drivers.
