What are the precautions for watering fruit trees in greenhouses?
1. Water quality.
Surface runoff water often contains large amounts of organic matter and minerals; rainwater contains relatively more carbon dioxide, ammonia and nitrate nitrogen; snow water contains relatively more nitrate nitrogen. These components are all beneficial to the growth of fruit trees. When carrying out sprinkler irrigation and drip irrigation, special attention should be paid to the fact that the irrigation water should not contain mud, sand or algae, so as to avoid clogging the sprinklers or drip emitters.
2. Regulating water temperature.
River water and groundwater are generally relatively low in temperature, so they can be stored in a reservoir, and after a period of warming and aeration, reused. As for the watering time within a day, especially inside a greenhouse, generally choose before 10 a.m., when the water temperature is close to the soil temperature, which can reduce the adverse effect on the fruit tree roots caused by the sudden drop in temperature from watering.
