Taipei City Geotechnical Engineering Office recommends 6 romantic trails in Zhuzihu for admiring calla lilies

The annual Zhuzihu Calla Lily Season is about to begin. Zhuzihu is renowned internationally for its sea of calla lilies, has won the LivCom International Award for Most Livable Community in the whole city category, and is a designated visit site for foreign guests. The Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Taipei City Public Works Department especially recommends 6 hidden creekside trails in Zhuzihu. Residents and friends may wish to take advantage of the blooming season for a trip to Zhuzihu, away from the city, and enjoy a white calla lily journey.

The Taipei City Geotechnical Engineering Office said that, under the premise of prioritizing slope safety, the office uses near-natural engineering methods to preserve biological habitat space and has constructed multiple loop creekside trail systems connecting the entire Zhuzihu area, creating a win-win situation that combines soil and water conservation benefits with local agricultural tourism development.

The Geotechnical Engineering Office recommends that those who want to admire large calla lily fields, the magnificent scenery of Xiaoyoukeng, egrets and small terraced fields can go to the "Dinghu Loop Trail" in the Dinghu area, and enjoy the surroundings along the creek. The path is gentle and easy to walk, suitable for all ages, with a walking time of about 20 minutes. If you are interested in the waterwheel or ecological pond left by early farming families, you can go to the "Calla Lily Loop Trail" in the Xiahu area. The walking time is also about 20 minutes, and you can also enjoy the cool creek water at the arc-shaped water play area.

If you want to listen to the babbling stream, observe waterfalls, play with stones, and see small hills and terraced mountain slopes, you can go to the "Literature Trail" in the Shuiwei area, with a walking time of only about 10 minutes. If you want to climb high and look far over the hillside calla lily terraces, you can go to the "Hudi Loop Trail," with a walking time of about 15 minutes. As for the longest trail, it is the "Zhuzihu Loop Trail," which starts from Hutian Bridge and connects Donghu, Dinghu, Shuiwei and Xiahu in a loop of mountain trails and roads. The walking time is about 50 minutes, and you can enjoy the pleasant scenery and charm of Zhuzihu along the way.
