How to Carry Out Early Creep Feeding for Lambs

When lambs are 7 to 10 days old, while following the ewe to graze or eat feed, they imitate the ewe's behavior and consume a certain amount of forage. At this point, soybeans and similar feeds can be roasted, ground, and scattered in the feed trough to entice the lambs to eat. Initially, feeding 10 to 50 grams per lamb per day is sufficient; after the lambs become accustomed to it, gradually increase the supplementary feeding amount. Supplementary feeding for lambs should be carried out separately. When a lamb's feed intake reaches about 100 grams, a mixed concentrate containing about 24% crude protein can be used for supplementary feeding. In the late lactation period, lambs can be grouped separately during the day and grazed on designated pasture, combined with supplementary feeding of mixed concentrate; high-quality green hay can be placed in hay racks for them to eat freely, with grass-family and legume green hay being the best.
