How to identify liquid fertilizer? A few practical tips for you
On the current market, there are many types of liquid fertilizer. How to identify quality, good or bad, mainly starts from several aspects: look, weigh, smell, freeze.
Look at the physical state. A good liquid fertilizer product is clear and transparent, clean and free of impurities, while a poor-quality product may contain a lot of solid insoluble matter.
Weigh the product quality. For the same volume of liquid product, the heavier it is, the greater the specific gravity. Therefore, specific gravity is an important indicator for measuring the quality of liquid fertilizer products. A good product does not necessarily have a very large specific gravity, but one with a very small specific gravity definitely does not have sufficient content.
Smell the product odor. A good product has no odor. A strong ammonia smell means the pH was not controlled well; a special fragrance is generally used to cover up certain odors; a pungent odor generally means substances that should not be added have been added.
Freeze to test stability. A good product placed in the refrigerator for quick freezing for 24 hours will not separate into layers or crystallize. If it separates into layers and crystallizes, then good raw materials were not selected and the production process was not well controlled during production.
