Changhua County Government honors the top two quality construction firms of the 104th year

To raise the engineering technical standards of contractors, encourage quality firms to take part in public construction within Changhua County, and improve project quality and efficiency, the Changhua County Government, through its Civil Service Ethics Office, promulgated the "Changhua County Government Implementation Plan for Rewarding Public Construction Projects Whose Construction Inspection Results Reach Grade A or Above." For public construction contracts whose construction inspection results reach Grade A (81 points) or above, the top three construction firms and the commissioning agencies are publicly honored after the year ends.

It was resolved: "In accordance with Point 4 of the aforesaid Implementation Plan, the top 2 are selected on a merit basis for the awards. The 1st place is 'Shengwei Construction Co., Ltd.', which undertook the 'Changhua County Changbei Civil Sports Center Project'; the 2nd place is 'Xinwei Construction Co., Ltd.', which undertook 2 projects including the 'May 104 Heavy Rain Shetou Township Jiushe Drainage (Senior Activity Center) Disaster Repair Project'. The above two construction contracts are truly models of engineering quality, and the Changhua County Government specially presented the trophies at the expanded supervisors' weekly meeting convened in March 105, with Deputy Magistrate Chen Shan-pao doing the honors.

Public construction is closely tied to people's daily lives, for example: road projects, drainage ditch works, and so on. If quality is poor, besides posing safety risks, it also greatly affects public perception and the government's image in governance. For this reason, the Civil Service Ethics Office's Construction Inspection Team conducts sampling tests and inspections of project quality on about 400 road and related projects each year.
