Pingtung Colored Rice Life Festival Passes 100,000 Visitors, Lucky Winner Gets EVA Air Ticket

The Pingtung Colored Rice Life Festival will close on May 8 in Longshui Village, Hengchun Township. On the 4th, Yao Chih-wang, Director of the Pingtung County Department of Agriculture, presented the prize to the lucky person who became the 100,000th visitor to enter the site. The winner, Lin Ying-tao, exclaimed: "I'm so happy! So nervous! But I've never been abroad even at 65, and the farthest I've been is Penghu," making everyone burst into laughter.

Yao Chih-wang explained that he was very grateful to EVA Air for sponsoring the "EVA Air round-trip ticket to any destination in Asia with no route restrictions," and congratulated Lin Ying-tao, the lucky person who became the 100,000th visitor and won the ticket. He urged the public to seize the opportunity to visit the venue before the May 8 closing and check in to enter the ticket draw.

The lucky winner, 65-year-old Lin Ying-tao, said she is a member of the Sankuai Community Development Association in Jiuru Township. Because her knees have been sore recently, she had originally planned to stay home watching TV to pass the time, but fortunately, after repeated encouragement from the association's chairperson, she came along.

Lin Ying-tao added that her family farms for a living. In addition to growing lima beans and eggplants, they also grow rice. She has always been full of curiosity about rice paddy art. Besides the rice paddy art in Longshui, Hengchun, she also took part in last year's rice paddy art featuring Bear and Rabbit in Nanzhou and this year's early rice paddy art featuring Su Huanzhen from the Hot Expo.

With an expression full of delight, Lin Ying-tao stressed that she had never been abroad and had only gone as far as Penghu. She was very surprised and happy to receive the ticket, and still did not know which country would be better to visit. She would go home and discuss it carefully with her six grandchildren.

Yao Chih-wang pointed out that May 8 happens to fall on Mother's Day. As long as three generations, grandparents, parents and children, come with the grandmother, the grandmother will receive a delicate small gift, while stocks last.
