To promote green living and let citizens eat safely and healthily, the Hsinchu City Government will hold the "Hsinchu Flavor Market" from May 21 to June 5 on Saturdays and Sundays at the Cultural Park next to the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Zhuying City Site. Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that the "Hsinchu Flavor Market" combines local music, ingredients and handmade cultural and creative products, inviting the public to visit the market, support local small farmers and cultural and creative youth, and share products grown and managed with dedication.

Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that he hopes that through holding the "Hsinchu Flavor Market" event, combining local performance groups, local small farmers guided by farmers' associations, and young friends who have returned home to engage in fishery and aquaculture, there will be more performance stages and sales channels to share with all citizens.

Director Liao Chih-chien pointed out that this "Hsinchu Flavor Market" combines street performers and a local small farmers' market, with more than 40 stalls in total, and participation has been very enthusiastic, including various organic agricultural products, handmade goods rich in design and craft, and secondhand DIY recycled works. In the future, during holidays, the area around the moat to the Cultural Park will become the best place for citizens' family leisure.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that this event combines public welfare, and all merchants participated in charitable donations to help more people in need; based on encouraging inmates to become self-reliant, this event also invited Hsinchu Prison and Hsinchu Detention Center to set up stalls to display and sell handmade goods made by inmates; on the other hand, the Hsinchu City New Residents Service Center also brought various lucky charms from new residents' hometowns, with unique characteristics.

In addition to the market, the event will invite high-quality street performers and independent music creators over three consecutive holiday weeks, including Yeh Ying, Cotton Candy and others performing in turn, using rural grassland music to make the "Hsinchu Flavor Market" event even more flavorful.
