New Taipei City invites you to take a photo with the giant pumpkins at Tamsui Golden Waterfront

The "105 National Giant Pumpkin Competition" will be held on June 24 at the Golden Waterfront Plaza behind Tamsui MRT Station. The winning giant pumpkins will be displayed in the plaza on the 25th and 26th. In addition to the giant pumpkin display, there will also be free rice food DIY, a free pumpkin painting activity for those who spend 300 yuan or more, and a farmers market featuring specialty pumpkin dishes. Everyone is welcome to gather friends and come take photos with the largest pumpkins in the country.

The National Giant Pumpkin Competition has a history of 11 years since 94. The judging competition is mainly divided into the national weight group and New Taipei City's quality group and creative group for scoring. Tamsui farmer Lin Jianxun won the national weight group championship from 102 to 104. Last year, he broke the record and won the national weight group championship with a giant pumpkin weighing 500 Taiwanese jin. It is hoped that this year a giant pumpkin exceeding 500 Taiwanese jin will appear. On the 25th and 26th, the giant pumpkin display will also be held at Tamsui Golden Waterfront Plaza, along with other tasty and fun perks, such as: free rice food DIY, a free pumpkin painting activity for those who spend 300 yuan or more, and a farmers market featuring specialty pumpkin dishes.

The Tamsui District Farmers' Association has newly launched dry and wet two-way Hobe pumpkin vermicelli. It can not only be eaten as wet noodles, but can also be mixed with homemade dipping sauce to make a summer-limited "cold vermicelli," paired with golden pumpkin thick soup, coming soon! There is also a pumpkin gift box, specially priced at 239 yuan, which the public can buy at the Tamsui Farmers' Association supermarket; a one-day pumpkin harvesting tour experience, from now until July 31, accepts group reservations in units of 20 people (1000 yuan per person) or 40 people (900 yuan per person). The public is welcome to gather a group and sign up.
