What are the fertilizer precautions for greenhouse cucumbers?

General News 0 views
Fertilizing greenhouse cucumbers requires attention to

1. Apply more organic fertilizer.

Organic fertilizer not only supplies the various nutrients needed for cucumber growth and development, but also reduces soil bulk density, increases soil porosity, and improves the physical and chemical properties of the soil. Therefore, organic fertilizer plays a major role in sustaining high cucumber yields and in activating and improving the soil.

2. Apply chemical fertilizer reasonably.

Cucumber roots are shallow and relatively weak, and too high a fertilization concentration causes root burn. Chemical fertilizer for cucumbers should be applied in small amounts and more frequently; as base fertilizer, apply 25-30 kg of diammonium phosphate per mu and 23-27 kg of potassium sulfate. During cucumber growth, topdressing is needed at any time, with a total of 47-53 kg of urea and 52-58 kg of potassium sulfate per mu. In the early stage, topdressing is generally mainly controlled; in the later stage of growth, combine irrigation and harvesting to apply nitrogen and potassium fertilizer once every 7-10 days (or use a water-soluble flush fertilizer with an equivalent nutrient amount).

3. Spray foliar fertilizer.

Foliar fertilizer is generally used during the peak fruit-setting period, when nutrients in the early stage are relatively sufficient. After fruit setting, the fertilizer requirement is larger, and foliar spraying of Xinguozhimu plus Zhuangguadiling can supplement the nutrients the plants need.

4. Apply biological bacterial fertilizer.

Applying more organic fertilizer and biological bacterial fertilizer and appropriately reducing chemical fertilizer is an inevitable choice for producing pollution-free green food. A newly built greenhouse applied once with 8 kg of high-quality organic biological fertilizer results in robust cucumber growth, more fruit set, longer fruit, and an extended harvest period.
