To help employers who are hiring foreign nationals for family caregiving work or domestic help for the first time understand the relevant regulations under the Employment Service Act, comply with the rules on lawful employment, and reduce possible violations when hiring in the future, the Changhua County Government began accepting group briefing reservations from the public or private employment service agencies every Wednesday starting July 1, 105, to help people complete the pre-employment briefing and obtain the qualification to apply for hiring family-type foreign workers. On the morning of the 6th, a promotional press conference was held at the Coffee Art Gallery on the 6th floor of the county government building. Wu Lanmei, Director of the Labor Affairs Department, explained the relevant details, and colleagues from the Labor Affairs Department performed a short action skit, promoting the message that people hiring family-type foreign workers for the first time should first attend the pre-employment briefing, and welcoming the public to make good use of the group briefings provided by the Changhua County Government.
Director Wu Lanmei stated that Changhua County currently employs a considerable amount of foreign manpower, of which family-type foreign workers account for 21%, helping to care for many families in Changhua County. In the past, employers may have violated the law unintentionally because they were not clear about the relevant regulations. Therefore, to help employers hiring family-type foreign workers for the first time understand the rules more clearly, the county government has planned three methods: counter briefings, group briefings, and online briefings. It calls on employers to attend the briefings, become familiar with the regulations, ensure protection for employees, and have proper channels to resolve problems when they arise.
Starting July 1, 105, the Labor Affairs Department accepts online reservations made by the public themselves or entrusted to private employment service agencies through the county government Labor Affairs Department website (http://etraining.wda.gov.tw), offering briefing sessions every Wednesday when 10 or more people are enrolled, providing employers with the service of completing the pre-employment briefing.
