How to manage water well when growing carrots?
Carrots progress from the leaf growth stage to the root-splitting stage and then to the fleshy root growth stage, and water management differs between these two stages.
During the leaf growth stage, watering should mainly be controlled; watering too early will promote excessive leaf growth and affect the growth of the root and stem.
When the root-splitting stage is reached, it means the plant has entered the root and stem growth stage. Spray with Diguo Zhuangtiling plus Xin Gao Zhi Mo, water at the right time, and keep the soil consistently moist so the root and stem can grow well. If the base fertilizer was applied adequately, topdressing is generally not needed. At the same time, do a good job of intertillage and weeding, and promptly control pests such as aphids and cabbage caterpillars.
If the carrots are still in the leaf growth stage, watering must be controlled. If there has been no rain for many days, the soil is dry, and the plants are growing slowly, a light watering can be given; the main tasks are intertillage and weeding and controlling aphids.
