Chiayi Water Slide Charity Fair to kick off from August 19-21
The KANO Season tourism carnival series, which successfully drew a crowd of 80,000 people in the 104th year of the Republic of China calendar, is back in Chiayi City this year (105th year of the Republic of China calendar), rolling out 27 rich activities! From August 19 to 21 at the baseball stadium parking lot, the hottest urban water slide will be introduced for the first time, and the scene will also feature lively cultural-creative and local food markets, a heavy motorcycle and supercar party, and other exciting programs. At a press conference on the 10th, Mayor Twu Shiing-jer and City Councilor Kuo Wen-chu warmly invited people from all over Taiwan to come together to Chiayi for a KANO summer and share a refreshing feast!
Mayor Twu Shiing-jer stressed that with Chiayi City's urban water slide, 450 yuan gets you a full day of sliding, so it would be a pity to miss it! The KANO Season activities are so rich and varied that one day is definitely not enough to enjoy it all. Two professional baseball games will be held on August 16 and 23, and the closing concert on August 31 will invite the Asian Youth Orchestra to perform. The city government will also work with businesses and hotel operators to launch various itineraries such as KANO mini-trips, linking attractions including Hinoki Village, Alishan and the National Palace Museum, and welcomes tourists from all over Taiwan to bring the whole family to Chiayi for the hot summer days.
Councilor Kuo Wen-chu thanked the city government for its strong support and stressed that holding the event is not about making money, but about letting the city be seen. Next week, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Taitung City Government, in the hope of lighting up the city through charitable causes.
In addition to 150 cultural-creative handmade stalls on site, the event will join with the Chiayi City Local Specialty Industry Association to promote the Top Ten Souvenirs, Taocheng cuisine and more. In addition, the event combines a charity fair, bikini haircuts, blood donation, invoice donation drives and other charitable activities. Five percent of the fair coupons and all surplus from the fair will be donated to the disadvantaged groups setting up stalls.
For the "Creativity • Charity • Trendy PARTY" water slide, early bird tickets purchased together with charity fair coupons cost 300 yuan, early bird tickets for the water slide alone cost 350 yuan, and on-site tickets cost 450 yuan. Starting July 15, tickets will officially go on sale on the i-bon ticketing system.
