What should be noted during the duck farming process?

Things to note in duck farming

1. Temperature: Newly hatched ducklings have sparse down and poor thermoregulation, so keep them warm. The usual method is to keep the temperature at 33°C-35°C for the first 3 days, then lower it by 1°C each day until it reaches natural temperature.

2. Humidity: Although ducks like water, they do not adapt well to rearing environments that are too humid or too dry. Generally keep it at: 70-75% in the first week, 65-70% in the second week, 60-65% in the third week, and 50-60% in the fourth week and afterward.

3. Stocking density: If ducks are stocked too densely and crowded, humidity will rise and the air will become stale, which is not good for the ducks' growth and development. Generally keep it at: 20-25 birds per sq m in the first week, 10-15 birds per sq m in the second week, 8-10 birds per sq m in the third week, and 6-8 birds per sq m afterward.

4. Routine work such as hygiene and disinfection: Keep the duck house and exercise yard clean, change the bedding frequently inside the house, regularly disinfect the duck house, exercise yard and surrounding areas with different disinfectants, ventilate every day, and keep the air in the duck house fresh. Provide the ducks daily with complete duck feed, green feed and plenty of drinking water.
