More and more hydroponic plants are being grown at home. We love buying a beautiful vase and growing a hydroponic plant in it at home; nothing could be lovelier. It also adds to the home's decor, enriches our lives and adds to our daily enjoyment. But many people have found that growing these plants hydroponically is actually not easy, and a slip-up can cause the plant to die. Hydroponic plants have rather strict growing requirements, and they cannot just be grown any which way; a moment of carelessness on our part can cause a hydroponic plant to die.

It is exactly this difficulty that makes many people give up on growing hydroponic plants. But today I want to tell you that there is one hydroponic plant that is very easy to grow. This plant is called the sleeping beauty in the water, and it is called the sleeping beauty precisely because it must be grown in water. Unlike other hydroponic plants, this plant needs no extra care; as long as you put it in water, it will survive on its own. For this very reason, it is also one of the hydroponic plants that everyone commonly grows. Having said all this, you must be wondering what this flower actually is. Now let me reveal the answer for you!

I think that when everyone hears the title "sleeping beauty in the water", you cannot help but think of the lotus. That is right, the flower I am talking about today is the water lily; this beauty that grows on the water is the water lily. As long as this lotus sees water, it can grow, and it relies only on the power of nature to grow vigorously, needing no excessive human care to grow very well. If you grow a water lily at home, you can imagine what a beautiful sight that would be!

Although the water lily does not need much cultivation while growing, the preparation before planting must be done thoroughly. Now let me go over the points to note in the preparation before planting!

1. Determine the variety to grow based on the planting site. If your home has a large space that allows us to place a larger flower tub, then we can choose to grow the yellow water lily and the Indian water lily, two varieties suited to being grown in larger flower tubs. If there is no large space at home for these two varieties, we should choose the smaller bowl lotus to grow. This bowl lotus is petite in size, but its charm is in no way inferior, and it is very suitable for most plant lovers to grow at home.

2. The water temperature and the planting time. These two must be well coordinated. Without planting the bowl lotus at a good time, you cannot grow a beautiful lotus. We generally choose the best planting time, which is between March and April; planting this plant during this period is the best time, and the flowers produced are the best. The weather temperature at this time is also just right for the plant's growth. At this point we must ensure the water temperature is above 16°C. Only when these two requirements are met can we begin planting our bowl lotus; otherwise the survival rate will also be very high.

3. Cracking the shell of the lotus seed before planting. This is a step many people overlook. When planting, we all put the whole lotus seed into the water, but this is not the most correct approach. The correct approach is to crack the shell of the lotus seed and then put the seed into the water. Planting the lotus seed this way allows it to sprout and grow faster. During the shell-cracking process, do minor damage to the inside of the seed.

Growing a pot of water lilies at home in summer not only regulates humidity, but also greatly increases its ornamental value. Hurry and grow a pot yourself!
