In a small town in the UK,

there is an elderly man named Joe Robinson.

He is 77 years old this year,

and he is a blind gardener.

He is completely blind in both eyes and cannot see any colors,

yet he has created a stunningly beautiful garden,

and has even drawn gardening enthusiasts who come to admire it after hearing of his fame.

When Joe was ten years old,

through his father, he experienced the beauty of gardening for the first time,

and from then on he fell in love with gardening deep in his heart.

Before he became completely blind,

Joe was a factory worker,

living the life of an ordinary office worker.

Due to a congenital visual defect,

20 years ago, his eyesight deteriorated severely,

and he was no longer able to continue handling the factory work,

so he chose to retire and go home.

In life, when one journey ends,

it also means another journey begins.

After becoming completely blind,

he decided to devote himself to the floral gardening profession,

to fulfill his childhood wish.

Driven by the love deep in his heart,

Joe cultivated many beautiful flowers,

and his gardening works even won awards at multiple flower shows.

Although he has never seen his flower garden with his own eyes,

he knows it must be very beautiful,

because everyone who comes to visit tells him so.

Joe said: "I deeply love my garden. Although my eyes can no longer work, my sense of touch and smell allow me to perceive those flowers."

Although he cannot see the colors of these flowers,

he can sense their characteristics.

Whether the flowers are growing well,

whether they need watering, whether they need sunlight,

all of this is told to you through the branches, leaves, and petals.

"This wonderful contact allows me to communicate with these lovely little lives, and also allows me to keep doing the gardening work I love," he said.

Joe carefully tends to his flower garden.

Watering the plants and doing a bit of pruning

is the happiest time of his day.

Joe said he likes roses the most,

but because of their sharp thorns, he does not grow many of them,

as he is afraid he cannot take good care of them.

Many visitors who have seen this garden

cannot believe that Joe is blind,

because this garden is truly so beautiful!

"I am proud of him. He is always optimistic and does his best at what he loves. This garden is beautiful, very amazing."

Life will have many ups and downs,

but we should not be easily defeated.

Just like Joe,

still searching for beauty in the darkness.
