Taitung County's 2016 Austronesian Culture Festival has kicked off!

Coming up next is the "3rd World Indigenous Music and Dance Festival" on 8/6 at Guanshan Elementary School and 8/7 at Taitung Stadium! Taiwan is regarded as the place of origin of the world's Austronesian peoples. Through the World Indigenous Music and Dance Festival, Taiwan's indigenous music and dance culture is connected with the world's music and dance arts.

This year's World Indigenous Music and Dance Festival has invited teams from Australia, Malaysia, Tahiti, New Zealand, Hawaii, Fiji and Eswatini, among other countries, to perform in succession with the county's indigenous music and dance teams, so that the beautiful cultures of the Austronesian indigenous peoples can be seen by more people! Everyone is invited to come to Taitung and feel the passion of Austronesia!
