Yunlin County Agricultural Expo Ecological Park Art Season Kicks Off on the 7th

As midsummer arrives, the Yunlin County Government has specially planned the 2016 Yunlin Agricultural Expo Ecological Park Art Season, held from August 7 to September 25 every Saturday and Sunday at 4 PM at the Huwei Agricultural Expo Ecological Park, launching 8 consecutive weeks and 16 sessions of artistic feasts, accompanying friends young and old through a relaxed and leisurely artistic atmosphere.

Yunlin County Magistrate Li Chin-yung stated that the Agricultural Expo Ecological Park, converted from the original Agricultural Expo venue, was built as a park combining environmental protection, ecology, art and education, and is Yunlin's most representative large-scale environmental education park. In addition, the county government has carefully incorporated artistic elements, holding various artistic and cultural activities in the park. This year it specially combines grassroots art with landscape art, environmental ecology and the concept of family reunion, shaping the "small activities, big features" format of the Agricultural Expo Ecological Park Art Season, from August 7 to September 25 every Saturday and Sunday, totaling 16 sessions, letting county residents play together with art as parent and child during the summer vacation!

Lin Meng-yi, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department, explained that the art season consists of 5 series of activities: "Lawn Concert", "Parent-Child Picnic Festival", "Interactive Workshop", "Installation Art Exhibition" and "Children's Play Experience Camp". In addition to arranging special bands to perform live each week, thematic installation art and artistic experiences are also planned, such as: steel model joint exhibition, American heavy motorcycle joint exhibition, stunt kite performance and magical bubble show and other activities.

In addition to musical performances and artistic experience activities, the art season's opening ceremony at 4 PM on August 7, "Wind Blows the Agricultural Expo - Father's Day Parent-Child Kite Activity", will give away a kite to anyone who comes to the site dressed in father-son/father-daughter attire; on site, kite experts will lead everyone to fly kites representing dreams high together with Dad. In addition, at 7 PM on the evening of September 15, Mid-Autumn Festival, saxophone master Hu Sheng is invited to perform, and limited-edition kiln-baked pizza will be prepared for the public to taste, inviting the public to enjoy a beautiful full moon and family fun together!
