Earthing up peanuts promptly can increase yield

Recently, the author found during a survey in rural areas that many peanut fields have a large number of pegs suspended in the air that cannot enter the soil to form pods and produce yield. Measures should be taken to enable the pegs to enter the soil and form pods in time, thereby increasing yield.

1. Earthing up,

Use a hoe to gather the surface soil on both sides of the peanut plants toward the stems. But note that it must not be too close to the root crown. Some peanut varieties are relatively upright, and their pegs are far from the ground, so a shovel can be used to move soil to lower the peanut vines.

2. Topdressing

After the pegs enter the soil, fertilizer supply is still needed. The fastest method is foliar spraying, once every 7-8 days, adding 10 grams of urea, 40 grams of high-quality potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and 10 ml of 1% calcium superphosphate solution to each sprayer, with 3 sprayers needed per mu.
