Recommended varieties for the 2016 winter wheat water-saving and stable-yield supporting technology project in our province

According to the arrangements in the "Notice on Issuing the Implementation Plan for Projects Related to Planting Structure Adjustment and Agronomic Water Saving in the 2016 Hebei Province Groundwater Overexploitation Comprehensive Treatment Pilot", the Hebei Provincial Department of Agriculture (Rural Work Office of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government) invited experts in wheat breeding, cultivation and extension from within and outside the province to form an expert committee, which fully evaluated the water-saving wheat varieties initially recommended by the project cities and selected 49 varieties suitable for planting in the project areas:

A total of 24 varieties are suitable for planting in the central and southern regions of Hebei Province, including: Zhongmai 155, Yingbo 700, Xingmai No. 4, Xingmai No. 6, Xingmai No. 7, Shinong 086, Shimai No. 22, Shimai No. 18, Nongda 399, Kenong 199, Jimai 585, Guan 35, Heng 4444, Heng 4399, Henong 5290, Han 6172, Hanmai No. 13, Gaoyou 2018, Gaoyou 5218, Heng S29, Lunxuan 103, Ji 7369, Henong 9206, Jimai 518.

A total of 9 varieties are suitable for planting in the Heilonggang River Basin, including: Shimai No. 21, Heng 0816, Heng 0628, Hanmai No. 12, Henong 827, Henong 7106, Cangmai 028, Henong 826, Jiemai 19 (dry and barren land).

A total of 11 varieties are suitable for planting in the central and northern regions of Hebei Province, including: Henong 6425, Zhongmai 175, Cangmai 119, Tangmai No. 8, Jingdong 18, Lunxuan 169, Jingdong 22, Baomai No. 10, Henong 825, Zhongmai 816, Nongda 212.

A total of 2 varieties are suitable for planting in the central and southern, and central and northern regions of Hebei Province, including: Shiyou No. 20, Henong 6049.

A total of 1 variety is suitable for planting in the central and southern regions of Hebei Province and Baoding (excluding the mountainous areas of Laiyuan, Fuping and Yi County): Shixin 828.

A total of 1 variety is suitable for planting in the central and southern regions of Hebei Province and the Heilonggang River Basin: Shimai No. 15.

A total of 1 variety is suitable for planting in dry fertile land in the central and southern regions of Hebei Province and the Heilonggang River Basin: Heng 6632.
