Growing flowers is an activity many people enjoy; it is a good way to cultivate the body and mind and to relax. But as more and more flowers and potted plants are grown, many flower lovers say that growing flowers is a bit tiring too. Still, out of pursuit of their dream little flower garden, they naturally cannot stop themselves from buying all kinds of flowers to grow.

Loving to grow flowers is a good thing, but it is different when the more you grow, the more varieties you have. This also leads to some flowers suffering all kinds of diseases and dying because they are not cared for well enough during cultivation. So we often see or hear some flower lovers say with a weary heart: "I am not growing flowers anymore; growing a pot of ginger at least ends with something to eat." Although this is basically a remark made in anger, expressing the exhaustion of not being able to grow flowers well, there is no lack of people who really give up the joy of growing flowers to grow ginger. So how are these former flower lovers who now grow ginger doing? Let us take a look together!

Today Hua'er Gu saw in the back end a flower lover pouring out her troubles, saying that she is a person who loves growing flowers but always fails at it, so she simply did as netizens said and switched to growing ginger on the balcony, hoping the ginger leaves would grow lush and green and that in the end she could even eat the ginger she grew. But growing ginger seems just like growing flowers: after a period of vigor, it slowly starts to decline. The reason always leaves her at a loss deep down, just like with growing flowers, never knowing where the problem lies.

Afterward, Hua'er Gu contacted this flower lover. Our chat lasted about half an hour, during which we discovered several reasons why she could never grow flowers well. Some of the reasons were almost laughable. It seems it is not that flowers and ginger are hard to grow, but simply that our way of growing them has strayed from the normal course.

Problem one: watering is irregular in daily life. Sometimes because work is busy, she gets home and busies herself with housework, then eats, then washes the dishes, then bathes the child and herself, does the laundry... By the end of the whole process it is almost 9:30 or 10 at night, and she is very tired, with no time to spare for the flowers and ginger. So the flowers dry out for a few days and then get a little water, and this cycle repeats. Naturally, the flowers, green plants and ginger cannot get enough water to grow.

Problem two: the child at home is only two years old, and the home has only toilets, which is not very convenient for the child. In the process of guiding the child to urinate on his own and say goodbye to diapers, she took the child to urinate in the flower pots, saying it was to water Mom's flowers. Although the child really did learn to control his urination and stop wetting his pants, in the end the ginger being grown was drowned by urine. Urine contains a large amount of salt and is also at a higher temperature than normal water for watering flowers; over time, the ginger was wiped out by warm salt water.

Problem three: the flowers grown on the balcony were never shaded at all. Their balcony faces west, so in the afternoon it receives direct sunlight. Summer sunlight is fierce as a tiger; sun exposure plus lack of water, and then "rubbing salt" into the wound. Naturally, these flowers cannot grow well.

It can be seen that some behaviors we consider fairly normal are actually fatal harm to flowers and green plants, especially the matter of urinating. Many rural children did such things when they were little, thinking it could add some nutrients to the flowers, not realizing that such behavior is not advisable for plants that are not grown outdoors. Although a child urinating in a flower pot is not something abnormal, and using such a method to guide a child out of diapers is acceptable, habits are very scary. We had better still have him go to the bathroom to take care of it, which is more appropriate.

The above are some experiences of a flower lover who cannot grow flowers well that Hua'er Gu recently encountered. Perhaps she is not the only one with such flower-growing problems. When growing flowers, everyone also needs to sum up experience more and avoid some inappropriate practices!
