Strict disinfection is required for late-stage mushroom cultivation management
In autumn, production of various mushrooms is coming to an end, and disinfecting the sheds has become the top priority for mushroom growers at present. How can mushroom sheds be disinfected to improve the disinfection and sterilization effect?
Clearing the shed and disinfecting.
Remove all the waste bags from edible mushroom production out of the shed and clean it thoroughly. Because the waste material left after edible mushroom production easily breeds contaminating microorganisms, which leads to an increase in the amount of pathogen spores in the shed, it must be removed completely.
Chemical disinfection.
When using chemicals to sterilize mushroom sheds, mushroom growers can choose fumigation sterilization with sulfur, formaldehyde-potassium permanganate, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, and so on. Among these three, the sulfur dioxide produced after sulfur burns can achieve both sterilization and insect-killing effects, but the sulfur dioxide produced during use also easily reacts with water vapor in the air to form sulfurous acid, corroding the steel wires and so on in the mushroom shed. When using formaldehyde-potassium permanganate for disinfection, care must be taken to first pour in the powder and then the liquid, that is, first pour the potassium permanganate into the container, and then pour the formaldehyde onto the potassium permanganate. Never reverse the order of use. Formaldehyde reacts violently with potassium permanganate, so prevent the liquid from splashing onto your body. The method of using sodium dichloroisocyanurate is the simplest. Just follow the usage amount of 3 grams per cubic meter of space, set 15-25 points per 667 sq m in the shed, and ignite the chemical for use. Of course, mushroom growers with the conditions are best off first removing the shed film on the upper part of the mushroom shed, using ultraviolet rays in sunlight for sterilization, and then using chemical disinfection before edible mushroom cultivation.
Ventilation and exhaust.
After the sterilization and disinfection of the mushroom shed is completed, mushroom growers should also pay attention to ventilating in a timely manner to discharge the toxic gases inside the shed to the outside, preventing toxic gases from affecting the growth of edible mushrooms during later edible mushroom production.
