What are the precautions for raising cattle? These key points need to be mastered
1. Fixed times and fixed amounts. Determine the amount of forage according to different seasons. In summer and autumn, generally feed and water 3 times a day. For example, for cattle around 400 jin, each beef cow is fed 1.3-1.7 kg of hay and 0.3-0.5 kg of compound feed each time, and after feeding, give 7.5-10 kg of 0.5%-0.65% salt water; in winter and spring, feed once in the morning and once in the evening each day, each time feeding 3.5-4 kg of green hay and 1.5-2 kg of compound feed. The compound feed is prepared in proportion using wheat bran, cornmeal, cottonseed hulls, cottonseed cake or soybean cake, salt, etc., and water is given after feeding. In addition, in summer and autumn, an appropriate amount of green grass should be fed to increase the cattle's appetite and the supply of vitamins.
2. Six clean and two empty. The trough must be clean, the grass clean, the feed clean, the water clean, the shed clean, and the cattle's body clean. Every time grass, feed, and water are added, the cattle must eat and drink it all. It is necessary to achieve: "cut grass into three cuts per inch," and mix the feed evenly, so that the cattle can achieve the goal of gaining strength and fat.
3. Walk the cattle after feeding. After the cattle have eaten and drunk their fill each time, persist in walking them for 5-10 minutes to increase blood circulation, promote the digestion and absorption of forage, and avoid the occurrence of food and water accumulation.
4. Sun in winter and shade in summer. In winter, ensure the cattle shed is warm and let the cattle bask in the sun more; in summer, prevent exposure to the sun to avoid heatstroke, and ensure the activity area is shaded and well ventilated and lit.
5. Regular disinfection. Spray the shed and trough with lime water once a week to prevent cattle from getting sick.
