Penghu County Local Industry Innovation and R&D Promotion Program SBIR Achievement Presentation

The 104th Year Penghu County Local Industry Innovation and R&D Promotion Program Achievement Presentation was held on the morning of the 12th in the underground auditorium of the County Government Hall. County Magistrate Chen Kuang-fu was present to share the abundant results, hoping to widely publicize the manufacturers' R&D achievements through the exhibition and encourage more small and medium-sized enterprises to invest in innovative R&D, enhance competitiveness, and pursue sustainable operations.

Chen Kuang-fu affirmed the participating manufacturers' proactive dedication to investing in R&D and innovating various health products, and also expressed gratitude for the professional guidance of the counseling manufacturers. He pointed out that the county government's promotion of the local SBIR has entered its 6th year, during which 66 manufacturers have been counseled. With the determination to encourage enterprises, support industries, and boost the economy, Penghu County has seen as many as 533 newly established stores in the past 2 years, and the population has also clearly flowed back, representing the vigorous development and infinite vitality of local industries, which is inspiring.

He further stated that in July of this year, the county government participated in the local government investment promotion performance evaluation organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and achieved 5th place among the many counties and cities nationwide, which was not easy. At the same time, this year it also secured 9 million yuan from the land fund to market local characteristic industries, and secured 15 million in funding from the central government, with the Ministry of Economic Affairs assisting in implementing the offshore island industry upgrade counseling program, hoping that through various efforts, Penghu's enterprises can develop further and thrive.

Chen Kuang-fu praised the serious spirit of each manufacturer in continuously innovating and conducting R&D. Their products are not only healthy but also very delicious. He expressed the hope of strengthening outward marketing and large-scale promotion, just like in June of this year when the county government held the Penghu Agricultural and Fishery Specialty Products International Procurement and Exhibition, inviting buyers from all over the world to come to Penghu to make purchases, and many international orders were received.
