"Taitung Online Farm" Marks 3rd Anniversary, a Benchmark Platform for Agricultural Produce Channels

Thanks to the efforts of Magistrate Huang Chien-ting and the county government team, "Taitung Online Farm," under the brand "Taitung Healthy Agriculture," has brought together the county's farmers' and fishermen's associations and small farmers, expanded and operated e-commerce channels for agricultural produce, and sought opportunities arising from adversity to lead farmers in expanding diverse market channels. The platform provides rich information on crops, yields, places of origin, and producers, allowing consumers and producers to connect quickly. "Taitung Online Farm" has now reached its 3rd anniversary, with page views surpassing 60 million, proving that Taitung agricultural produce is widely loved by the market and creating a new model for agricultural marketing in Taiwan, China.

Magistrate Huang Chien-ting said that in the layout of Taitung's agricultural produce channels, through the establishment and operation of the "Online Farm," after more than a thousand days of joint effort, the Online Farm has not only won the nation's only "Smart City Innovative Application Award" but has also gained recognition from the consumer market. Annual revenue grew by 30 percent, inquiries increased greatly, and purchasing power for Taitung's special agricultural and fishery products was boosted. At present, total website page views have surpassed 65 million, with sales amounting to 17 million yuan.

For its 3rd anniversary, the "Online Farm" added 2 online credit card payment services (originally the county farmers' association, regional farmers' associations, and Chishang Farmers' Association; this year the Xingang District Fishermen's Association and Donghe Township Farmers' Association joined). This year it has also launched a rich and diverse range of marketing activities, and recently added the "Member Recruitment Order" campaign. Starting October 1, newly joined members can receive 100 yuan in shopping credit, with new members enjoying exclusive membership gifts, regularly discounted products, and reliable, great-value service.
