Ministry of Economic Affairs Helps Haoshan International Kitchen and Bathroom Appliances Transform

In recent years, free trade zones have gradually taken shape. To respond to the impact of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs specifically planned the "Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Upgrade and Transformation Service Team," actively promoting the MIT Smile Mark and its quality certification system for Taiwanese-made home appliances, shaping the genuine and reliable characteristics of Taiwanese-made home appliances, in order to assist domestic home appliance manufacturers in responding to regional free trade and expanding domestic and export markets.

Haoshan International Co., Ltd. is a successful case of an enterprise upgraded and transformed to develop high-value products under the guidance of the Southern Branch of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Upgrade and Transformation Service Team in the current year (ROC year 105). The Southern Branch assisted Haoshan in researching, developing and manufacturing energy-saving smart kitchen and bathroom appliances, and through the home appliance guidance team, assisted it in completing the MIT Smile Mark certification application for the Taiwan home appliance industry. To date, under its own "Haoshan" brand, it has obtained the Taiwan-made MIT Smile Mark for a cumulative total of 79 products, including the European-style three-burner stove, two-burner stove, water heater, dish dryer, range hood and other series.

Through the assistance of the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, a juridical person under the Southern Branch, Haoshan also combined aesthetic craftsmanship to enhance product styling design, upgraded technology to increase product added value, developed innovative functional products, and strengthened collaborative cooperation with the supply chain toward manufacturing servitization, as well as obtained China Compulsory Certification (CCC) in mainland China for 4 IH cookers. In the future, this is expected to greatly increase revenue in the mainland China market, reaching a scale of 30% of the company's overall turnover. In addition, two products, the Haoshan brand gas stove and the Haoshan brand European-style touch-control range hood, were also selected as "2015 MIT Taiwan Gold Selection" products among many competing manufacturers.
